Here's Cory, ready to make the cut!
And here's Cory, having chopped that tree down in remarkably manly fashion, taking in the delicious pine-scented air.
Packing up our boy, the tree tied carefully to the top of the (still shiny!) car
Harry and the tree, pre-decorations, as he chews on the blanket covering his pink Bumbo seat.
Me decorating! Again with the stylishness. Check out those socks! They are festive and warm and fuzzy, especially important to cold feet on cold hard floors.
Decorated! Stockings hung and everything. These are the hand-knitted ones Cory was talking about. :)
A closer look--Cory's was made by his wonderful Grandma Petty; mine and Henry's were knitted just this year by his Aunt Nancy, who is also wonderful. :)
Last but not least. I was shy and dorky and sneaky and took this through the car window; hence the blurry something-or-other along the bottom left. But hey, I like it. It's Santa, after all!
I'm so jealous! We aren't even getting a fake tree this year. I swear, going away for Christmas makes it hard to justify decorating yourselves (at least for Aaron). Are you all staying around or are you visiting family? I put up my measly 2 decorations and that is about it. I'm a little bummed about it. I love family traditions. Good for you for getting some early. We're still working on ours ;) You all look so cute and I didn't even know you had gotten a new car! Stylin'!! We miss you and need to plan a game night or something!
ReplyDeleteLove the photos, you ARE stylin'!
ReplyDeleteCarrie, I know how you feel! That was totally us last year--since we were going to Utah, I resigned myself to a Christmas-free apartment, since it just didn't seem worth the work. But it was depressing, so even though we're going to Utah this year too, we decorated anyway. Nothing like Christmas lights to make a place feel more like home :)
ReplyDeleteWe totally do need to do a game night. Name the day! You can come and bask in the glow of our Christmas tree. Or if it's easier, we could come to you, and bring Christmas cookies!
Kaylene: Thanks! :) There's such a thing as dorky-chic, right?
