Henry is 10 months old today. Two more months until his first birthday! Crazy. I can't believe how much he's grown and changed. And on that theme, here's a comparison. On the left is the picture we took when we brought him home from the hospital. On the right is the picture I took of him today on our way home from Target (where we bought him a foam mace and chain with a matching battle axe. I'm sure there will be pictures of those later.)
A place for us to share the normal, the interesting, the random, and the boring in life. Also, food.

Henry in the Car
A few weeks ago Cory and Henry and I were on our way somewhere or other and for one reason or another I was sitting in the backseat next to Henry. This almost never happens. It happens so rarely, in fact, that when I looked at him after a few minutes of being distracted by Cory, he was giving me this look:
Having my camera at hand, I naturally had to document it.
But there are two other significant things about this photo. The first is the pacifier. Notice how it's, you know, deformed? Yeah. It fell out of the silverware tray in the dishwasher and landed on the coil. It came out half-melted, but... well, since the nipple was fine and we didn't have a replacement on hand, we just... kept using it. No more, though! We were good parents eventually who tossed it out and got him a couple new ones. The second significant thing is that it's quite possibly the last photo taken of him in his infant car seat. The one he's outgrown.
He's really not that huge, though. At his nine month checkup he was only in about the 50th percentile for height and 25th for weight. He seems big, of course. Especially to his mom who can't believe her baby is crawling already and zipping around in a walker and wearing 12-month clothes.
I don't have a picture yet of Henry in his new car seat, but I will soon. (I keep meaning to, and it just keeps not happening.) In the meantime, here's a picture of the look he gave me while Cory was installing the new seat.
More pictures and videos soon to come, I promise! And maybe a glimpse at our new Awesomeness Chart. :)
